Well, now I am graduated!
It was the ceremony today. As ceremonies go, it was pretty cool, and now I have a bit of paper saying I'm all clever and stuff. Which is nice. But I find myself wondering - in my time at university, what have I actually learnt? I have come up with the following points:
So I had a haircut yesterday, and on the way home, at about 3.45, I popped into the bank to talk to them about my bank account. In particular, how I have a student account, but am no longer a student. The girl in the front bit told me that someone was available to see me now, so I thought 'why not?' and went up.
Didn't escape till 6.20.
But I now have a new account, which appears to be pretty nifty - I get free basic AA cover, free travel insurance (sure it's not that great ...
Well, I have moved out of my Bath flat, second home for two long, interesting and exciting years. I did it last weekend, that's Saturday the 24th, and I needed a van to get all the stuff home. - mostly because I had a tumble dryer which my flatmates decided at the last minute that they didn't want, giving me no time to sell it. Still, now I have a newish tumble dryer here, which will be good for replacing the ~25 year old one we have in the kitchen, which squeaks like a pregnant mouse spinning at 50 ...
My new nokia 6230 arrived yesterday, and I have been playing with it today. It's nice apart from a few small things; the main navigation button has to be pressed down, and its too easy to hit the direction keys, there are no decent backgrounds, polyphonic ring tones suck, and the battery life isn't as good as I've come to expect from nokia. Then again I have been using bluetooth and the camera all day, and it is its first charge, so we'll have to wait and see how that goes. Apart from that, it's ...
