Hardware shouldn't make a difference. In theory. But hey, this is Apple, who knows what they'll do.

Yay

Having it show up in windows as just another removable drive, and not using any piece of crap apple wrote... free

Keeps rebooting randomly. Sent it back because of that. New one does the same thing, but less often. Dammit, icq!

Oh, crazy! What happened with it? Mine's been going strong for a year :/

Mine's broken :(

The one they sent me to replace the broken one is broken :(

What's wrong with the Rio firmware? Mine's brilliant!

Ah yes, but you've forgotten Rio's inability to write firmware!

The Entropy Is Strong With This One

Times when I don't have any problems, I'm working. It is even more dull than the problems, so I don't bother writing about them :)

Half the reason I write about the problems is so that when they happen to me again (which they will), I'll be able to go back through my archive and see what I did to fix it last time ;)

Should i assume that times when you aren't making an entry on here are times when you actually dont have a computer problem as in "i turned them all on and they all worked" or "i did some code and it didn't have too many / no obscene bugs". Or do i assume that those other days things are not as interesting computer problems. ~:P

I Found Some Bugs

Be patient! You have to wait for them to release them :)

You do realise that computer hardware never goes faulty. It's actually that the PC really hates you!

I'm awaiting the day when you have to give a set of biometric samples when purchasing any software which are subsequently tested against the sample taken every time you run the thing. For small utilities or low-value software, the test would be something like a thumbprint. For bigger software it would be a test like a retina scan. For anything by MS, it would be a full body cavity search and fluids examination.

If the cleaning becomes a popular activity, I'm sure there are clubs you could join.

The PSU does have a habit of being one of those things that makes things go wrong. (That and having dust in your graphics card fan).
