The Getmail-Maildrop Experience
I'm convinced it will be better when I get categories in here - friends can see what I'm up to in life, tech friends can see what tech stuff I'm doing, and nobody will have to read my rambles about my work any more :)
Richard, your blog is almost as interesting as Simon's!
Hurry up and add an RSS feed so I can stop having to remember to check your site!
Help Me Buy Some Books
"I never done got a book on that, use google"... on all three counts. PHP - the online reference guide is all I've ever needed (s'downloadable as a CHM file, if you want it locally accessible). MySQL - as above, really... I'm sure there's lots I could learn, but mostly it's trial and error on my part. JavaScript - possibly the easiest language in the world, ever... though I may just be a bit biased.
BEEEES!
For some reason I had a certain episode of Invader Zim on my mind when I was trying to think of an appropriate title. So I chose an inappropriate title :)
So exactly what does this article have to do with bees? I'm highly disappointed.
Mmm, pie
pie is very tasty GIVE ME PIE!!!
Life goes on
I'm tempted to try them, but I'll see what effect comes from the latest thing I've been prescribed... This is becoming a joke - just remove my nose already!

Thanks! But I do understand why people don't comment on entries like this - hardly the most thrilling...
Radiac Still Here, Refuses To Go
You had me worried there for a minute, I thought there was an international shortage.
Firebox is selling the Warp mints:

But I think it's got to ThinkGeek for the Penguin mints:

and they charge a whole bunch to get it into the country :(

Happy Birthday Leela!
Errr, I'm only 23! Not quite on the scrapheap yet! (I hope).
Radiac Still Here, Refuses To Go
I meant supplies, not suppliers. Dear me. They also sell them in coffee shops in London, but only the small tins.
I am eating one right now! Mmmmm! Suppliers are running perilously low though... I might have to get my brother to send some over.
I'll make sure he sends some for you, too.
When are you coming to stay?
Happy Birthday Leela!
Us blokes struggle at times like these... do we wish someone a happy birthday and run the risk of annoying them because they're not counting years any more, or do we avoid mentioning it and get called insensitive.
You don't understand how difficult life is for blokes!
Exciting Changes!
Yay for CAPTCHAs!
Happy Birthday Leela!
Cuh! Well I cared that it was my birthday! Happy Birthday to me, yayyayayayayayayay!

The Great Tyre Adventure, Part 1
Hmm, I had a quick look. Seems most of the sites are shite, and don't mention that you should retighten the nuts after 10-15miles. There will almost certainly be some give in one of the bolts due to the driving! (I've been told this by a mechanic, whose torque wrench we were using to attach my friends wheels.)
Also soooo many sites say stupid things like "Tighten your wheel nuts up as much as you can. I usually stand on the lever on the wheel brace just the make sure." Well, up to you if you want to do that, but I've always been told as tight as possible with your wrench, then loosen off a tiny bit. If you ever have the chance to use a torque wrench and set the wheel nuts to the manufacturer suggested amount you'll find they aren't as tight as you'd do them by hand (well, as tight as I've done them!).
But number one thing: if you have a locking nut set for your alloys buy a decent one! Reason my friend had to go to the garage and use the pneumatic wrench/torque wrench was because of soft locking wheel nuts had started to shear. (With two people holding the normal wrench/key onto the nut and 1 turning we still slipped off!) These are NOT nuts that you want to do up too tightly!
