My way of surviving children and in fact all public transport in america is a pair of noise cancelling headphones, an ipod, a pair of knitting needles, and some cheap yarn... the cheap yarn being vital since children with greasy fingers are drawn to expensive yarn...

I notice they now have an utility for the usb modems that allows you to change the compression settings.

There is a proxy setting to put in on the datacards that bypasses the image shrinking and stuff. Also are you on an option for using the phone as a modem?
