New design

I've put together a new design for the site - slightly less 1998. And there's now a prominent picture of me winking on the front page, which has to be good. I am staring into your very soul.

This new design is a step in the right direction, with the obligatory gradient fills and drop shadows. More importantly the menu going back to the side will let me expand the site as and when I want to. Like adding a 'contact me' section. Yeah, that would be neat.

Summer Is Here! (But I'm Indoors)

I was back in Kent at the start of this week for a couple of days of meetings, and I spent yesterday and this morning catching up. Well, I caught up with one thing, and I still have the rest to do. Lots left to do.

While I was back in Kent, I had a haircut, which started me wondering about this question. I am most disappointed that nobody has answered. While it is nice to have shorter hair in this weather, he didn't cut the front so I look like I've just stepped out of a time ...

Arrgh, Spiders!

Today is Put Out The Rubbish Day in Truro, or at least it is in my road. Come to think about it though, Thursday has been rubbish day in all 5 homes I've had in 3 counties - co-incidence or conspiracy? Maybe Thursday is National Put Out The Rubbish Day - but in that case, what do the bin men do the rest of the week? So many questions, so little time. But I digress.

Our outside rubbish bin is kept round the corner next to some hedges, so every Thursday I carry it out to the road. Being quite sheltered ...

Moving To Cheltenham

As I mentioned in my last post, Leela and I are moving up to Cheltenham next month - her new job starts there in August. We appear to have secured a very nice flat; lower ground floor, two parking spaces, a stones throw from town and Leela's place of work, and I'll have a bigger room for my office. Ooh, and we have a patio - at last, somewhere for barbeques! And I didn't see anywhere for spiders to hide, so that's good. Going to sign the contract the week after next, moving in the week after.
