Random day

Woke up this morning, did some work on my project, went up to uni and hung around in the foyer of bloodbath for a bit (film thingy that bufs were helping with), popped into the buncs lan for a while and played monkey ball, then went to the pub and wandered past the cinema on the way home, and saw that Kill Bill had just started, so we went in and saw it. It is a fantastic film :)

Projecty Goodness

So today I've been doing my project proposal. I really should have gone to see my supervisor last week, but I felt that since I'd already gone to see him about my project idea before allocation that I should have something new to show. And of course I didnt start writing anything till the weekend.

Anyway, been working on it since 9 (apart from travelling time and time wasted talking to people), and I now have a whole page written. I will finish it tonight (the other 4 pages), take it in tomorrow and see my supervisor about ...

Hmm

Well, I think I've finished the first draft of my project proposal, now to print it.

But of course, my printer isn't installed on mir, because I reinstalled Debian.

Every time I try to get printers working via samba in debian, I have problems. However, this time I have found this handy howto. Printing from windows over the network where the printer is on a debian machine. Sounds promising :)

We Still Love Labour

Evidently jealous of the recent Tory joke, Labour have wheeled out the big guns once again.

Time to welcome back Spam Warrior Extraordinaire Derek Wyatt, Labour MP for Sittingbourne and Sheppey. You may remember that just over a year ago he called for ISPs to be held responsible for pornographic spam. And maybe also remember that my friend Ben was not too impressed. Possibly because he runs an ISP.
