Back in Bath

Hi! I'm back in Bath again after my 'reading' week... the weekends were good fun, but I spent the week (apart from a couple of hours at Tonbridge taking more photos) working on a forum script... my god that was boring.

And I'm on my new computer, trying to make it see other computers on the network so that I can map drives and install stuff...

Also, thanks go to Shaun for pointing me at Day of Defeat (a half-life mod). Very cool WW2. And if you want to give it a go, Sturmbot seems quite good...

Heh, and my laziness reached a new level today; I've worked out how to use my creative remote control to control stuff... now all I need is voice recognition software... :)

Wooo

A firework display just started in the field behind the building over from my window - it's very pretty, and free, which is great :)

I'm very annoyed with the bath socks proxy; FTP connection is very slow to do anything, long pauses between commands getting through (it took nearly an hour to upload a 40k file)... I guess the proxy has a maximum number of connections and it has to wait for one to become free before it can use it or something... still, thanks to the rediculous delays, it's taken me all day to debug two subroutines ...

Oops

Apparently reversing while my exhaust pipe was hanging behind the rear wheel wasn't a good idea.

My car now has new tyres.
