Went to Halfords today to get a new set of wheel trim thingies and new foot mats, and went into the nearby Sainsburys. On the way out I noticed a sign which basically said 'Buy your Jill Dando Rememberance badges here!'. Sad isn't it.

Long weekend this weekend... finished off Voyager Elite Force yesterday afternoon (brilliant game), and up to now messing around; I'm writing a web based text adventure system. I'll say when it's done, but it's looking pretty good; you can move around, pick up stuff, eat, drink and drop stuff. Next for conditional exits and possibly for conditional 'pick up's, then on to more interesting things like weapons and characters :)

Well, after about 15 hours of arranging Take Five for the house music competition, I've printed it and handed it out.

I've got to do a few more parts though, so not quite finished.

ATM I'm writing WeBTAS - Web Based Text Adventure System. Very exciting.

Good and bad

Well, three good things happened today; my new keyboard (Microsoft Internet keyboard - great, apart from the keys are about 1cm too high) and mouse (Logitech Pilot Wheel - lovely) arrived from Dabs today, and my copy of Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (mmm) arrived from Amazon!

STVEF is, quite simply, the best single-player game I've played since half-life. I've only completed the first couple of missions so far, so it's too early to say it's better than half-life, but it's looking very promising (certainly has more scope for interesting plot twists).
