Although I'd be tempted to say that things can only get better, a certain political party were saying that 10 years ago, and look at us now. So, good luck with the imminent recession, bird flu epidemic, and global warming that will boil/freeze/drown us all. Happy New Year!

Whatabout the hordes of stampeding wildebeest?
I'm more worried about the hordes of ladybirds that seem to live on our patio and insist on crawling through the gaps in the doors. They will doubtless attract swarms of carnivorous chinese wasps that will be quite happy living here thanks to global warming. Those will in turn bring birds and their flu - and in the recession, I won't be able to afford black market tamiflu.
