It's been a busy week and a bit - I'm still catching up on work from my last stay in Kent, but I'm nearly on top of everything now.
But you can't work all the time, so I took last weekend off. I headed up to Bath to meet up with lots of friends from Uni, most of whom I hadn't seen for at least 10 months - there were a few faces missing, and a few new ones, but it was great to get together again. In case any of you are running it, I've just noticed a couple of small issues with my smess code for PG+, so here's a little bugfix: smess-1.3.tar.gz. The only changes are to smess.c.

A couple of weeks ago, I rang up Orange and told them I was off to T-Mobile. Last time I did that, they put me through to their customer retention department, and sorted me out with a fantastic deal which I was very happy with. I was therefore expecting at least some resistance this time, but no, the lady just said "Oh, ok, so you'll be wanting your PAC then?"
Bye bye then, Orange. No wonder they're sacking 15% staff to cut costs, she didn't even try to get me to sign up for a cheaper plan ...

Not content with beating kittens, today I turned on Leela. I kicked her round the head, and although I didn't feel a thing, it hurt her so much she cried. Three hours later, she is still concussed and has a headache.
To be fair it was a complete accident. Well, more like complete incompetence on my part. She was sitting on the sofa, and I was trying to climb over the back to sit next to her. Unfortunately it didn't quite go as planned, and my shin - yes, the very same shin which almost killed a kitten - connected ...
