Tristan's here, after nearly getting deported as soon as he arrived in the country. So close yet so far. Must write more letters to people in high places...
We now have broadband, yay! The broadband guy arrived at 9am, was finished by about 9.15, and then we spent the next few hours trying to get dhcp under linux to work (significantly easier once we had plugged the cable in).
I'm still having real problems trying to decide between using Perl and PHP for my website in a box thing. If anyone has any rational balanced views (ie with facts to back up what they say, rather than 'OMFG PHP 0WNZ Perl!!!1!!11! CYBER?!?!!?' stylee), then please please leave them in the comments. This has been bugging me for literally years, and I have to do something about it soon.
Went to Sainsburys this evening and bought lots of food, which we have now mostly eaten, or at least thats how it feels. I'm out of razor blades, so if you see me I apologise for my appearance. Think it's also about time for a haircut, so that's something to sort out too. Yes, this entry is as thrilling as ever.
In the on-going saga of my bed, I have ruled out all but a couple of courses of action; build something to support the bed slats, or buy a new bed. Considering the price difference, I'm all in favour of building something. Also need to find a table though, so if anyone knows of a place that will sell and deliver me a table (see, rules out Ikea) that is good (no Argos then), then please let me know!
Right-o, back to Sevenoaks tomorrow I think, Far Cry is calling.
Time passes...

Anyhoo... Tristan had better stump up the details on his deportation scandal on his blog. The people have a right to know!
