Bath Boots Rocks

I can't believe I didnt make a diary entry about how I experienced the true meaning of incompetence at the Sevenoaks Boots over the holiday. I went in and asked them to adjust my nice new glasses, and she brought them back bent, out of shape, and fitting even worse than they did before. Realising my mistake, I changed the subject before they could break them even more, and asked them why I was only given a trial pack of contact lense solution when I should have got a 3 month supply. She said "Oh, we don't have any of the 3 month packs, so just come back when you run out and we'll hopefully have some more by then." Smiling and nodding, I slowly backed towards the door and ran off to the safety of the Dorset Arms, planning how to solve these problems without having to go anywhere near that den of moronity again. And I don't even care if that's not a word, because I believe the plan that I formulated was impressive, even for me, one of my best.

So, I waited until I got back to Bath, and I went into Boots today. The guy at the desk was the person who had helped me get my glasses last term. He recognised me, so got someone else to deal with me this time. The nice lady measured the distance to my ears (something that the incompetent woman in Sevenoaks didn't) and fixed them so they fit - yay! Then I mentioned my contact lense solution predicament, and she just walked over to the boxes and gave me one, didn't make me wait while she rang Sevenoaks or anything.

Bath Boots rocks.

Maybe I should just go in and ask for some free contact lense stuff?? That could work!

I was wondering that when I walked away ;)
