Theo made a mistake and killed the server a couple of days ago...

My computer's working good now... apart from the dvd drive which refuses to play dvds. Hohum.

My 100 mbit switch has arrived... yay, 4 minutes to copy across 600mb :)

I've finished USML (even though this is the fourth time I've said that, I think it really is this time... apart from getting it to work with mod_perl :p ), I've been taking photos for the school's virtual tour, and have been making a few visits to the pubs...

And I've got my DVD drive working! My computer works now - yay :)

Struth... 2 planes into the WTC towers with 20,000 people in it, a plane into the Pentagon, a plane down outside Pennsylvania, the towers collapsed...

I'm not going to try to say something meaningful; words can't really do it justice...

I've got my contact lenses in! And out! And in and out again! And in a third time! They've been in for about 30 minutes now, and I'm starting to get used to them... I can read stuff :p

Hi, I'm at Jamie's house. Yay... we just went to watch the school rugby, and we're going to the pub tonight. To drink a lot... Yay!

For those of you who were at the Leavers' Ball 2001, I have the official photos from it in my photos section (here) - a note was sent round to all leavers in their results saying that the photos would be on the school website, but the powers that be decided that they were not suitable for prospective parents. It is possible that they will be moved to a user-based password-protected section of the school website, but until they are, they're only available here... enjoy :)

I'm tired too. Hmm, this sucks.

On a slightly brighter note, I've finished taking photos of the school. I took a total of 655 photos, and have ended up with about 95 (although several of the resultant photos are panoramic, consisting of between 2 and 14 photos) - now all I've got to do is give each image a description, and write a script to resize them for me...

And now the central heating has broken.

It's my last night in Sevenoaks before I go to university...

So much left undone... Just when my life's starting to work out, along comes university. Couple of you will know what I'm talking about; for those who don't, I'm talking about my computers, how I'm going to have to leave some at home, and how I only got half way through my 'to do' list.

Having said that, I'm sure I'll enjoy university. Even if I can only take two of my computers...

Only about 1 hour 30 minutes till I leave... argh!

Ended up having fun last night, despite the mood I started off in - thanks guys, I'm gonna miss you :) And I'm also going to miss those of you I like who couldn't make it, didn't know, didn't find out or don't like me ;)

I'll be back in a few weeks to pick up stuff like my hifi... school night at the dorset in 3 weeks time (you don't get in unless you're in school uniform) - seems about right... I'm tempted to turn up with pigtails tied with pink ribbons, a white frilly skirt and looking all stubbly after not having shaved in a few days... then, in the deepest most masculine voice I can muster go 'What?' at the bouncer... heheh, it'd probably be funny for the first quarter of an hour...

You can probably guess what this entry is going to be about from the title :p

Yep, I'm sitting on the 3rd floor of the bath computer thingy place, in a room with I'd guess about 100 other computers. And a few chairs. But no people... I'm all alone...

Hohum. Now I've finished my online registration thingy, think I'll try the place across the road with lots of music and people.

I was walking towards the place with people and music when they put on Steps. So I ran away, and I thought I'd post a piccy of my room new room at uni:

Well, it's a fun and action-packed day today... going to go buy a phone and a toaster, get a freshers week pass, have some fire drill instruction thing, meet the other people in my kitchen group, maybe watch a film, then go to the sports hall for a disco thingy 'with tributes to Britney Spears and Robbie Williams'.

Wooo.

Do I not sound overjoyed? Hmm... that's strange :p

I'm sure it'll be great. Just as long as they don't start playing Steps...

It's my first night at Bath. Met most of my new kitchen group... there's Tristan (also doing compsci), Becky, Becky (that's going to be confusing), Natalie, Ann (haven't seen much of her), Simon (I keep forgetting his name) and Jason (who nobody has seen today...)... probably two more coming tomorrow.

We're going to go to this tribute night thing now.

This will be my second full day at Bath. And today I get to do exciting things like registering.

Well, that was a little lame... they sold us a jug holding 3 pints of beer for £4, played oompa music at us, made us bang the table, then kicked us out after an hour...

We've finally met all of our kitchen group; there's Me, Tristan, Simon and Jason, then Natalie, Becky, Becky, Laura, Ann and Elfreda

It's the 60s, 70s and 80s night tonight, but I don't feel too good (headache, something I ate didn't agree with me, very tired having not slept well recently etc)... so I think I'm going to give this one a miss.

In case you hadn't noticed, I've increased my 'recent news' section to the 10 latest entries, seeing as I've been doing several each day. It'll probably go back to 5 when I stop doing so many things :)

Just found out we'll be doing Java, in case that's of any interest...
