My god I still feel pretty rough

So, what's happened?

Friday: Leavers' Concert, and Leavers' Ball.
There was a rehearsal for the concert at 5pm... I went in at 3.30 (changed into my DJ ready for the Ball) so I could do a bit to the computing display on Skinners Day. Anyway, at 4.55 I finished what I was doing and went to get my violin and go to the rehearsal. At 4.56 I realised I'd left my keys in my suit jacket, which was on the back of my chair at home. At 5.02 I returned to the lockers with a pair of bolt cutters. At 5.04 I gave up (the bolt cutters wouldn't fit in between the padlock and the locker door), and at 5.05 I phoned my mum, who I had convinced by 5.07 to bring my keys down to school. At 5.10 I noticed that there was a long queue from the lights outside the school off towards tonbridge. At 5.14 I reached the end of the queue and waited till 5.23 for my mum. I thanked her, retrieved my violin from my locker at 5.27 and arrived at the rehearsal at 5.29. Which was fun. Anyway, the concert went very well... after that we were taken off to the Leavers' Ball. Less said about this the better... I can't remember a lot, and from what people say, that's a good thing. There was no allocated girl, I was thirsty, I drank two bottles of cheap nasty wine in about 30 minutes and seeing as I hadn't eaten in about a day, it's not much surprise they didn't stay down...

Saturday: My god. Woke up, no headache but... Anyway, we had a chapel service at 10.15 (I nearly didn't last, a couple of times I almost ran outside)... followed by prize giving (again, nearly didn't make it... but I got a book and a lot of claps, yay). The rest of the day was pretty uneventful - said goodbye to some people I knew and will probably never see again, said a (hopefully) temporary goodbye to some very good friends. Went home, spent a couple more hours recovering before going into Sevenoaks. Almost everyone was there... a lot of fun.

And today I went to the Odeon at Tunbridge Wells and watched Shrek. It's pretty diabolical. I laughed three or four times... I dunno, maybe it was just all over my head...

Yay

Well, I'm on holiday... yay.

I'm also getting bored. I've been working on the same script for the past 3 weeks. This is its 5th rewrite. It'll be good when it's finished, I guess... but the end is not in sight :p

I've also been pricing up poota bits and bobs, and just paid in a nice amount to cover it. The woman behind the counter said 'Would you like to talk to someone about changing your account so that you get better interest', I said 'Nah, that's ok, i'll have spent it all by next week'. She gave me an odd look...

Pub

Went to the pub again... came home with 9 sidekick glasses... yay

Listening to William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings at the moment... sure, they murdered a classic, but at least it's good :)

USML again...

12th July 2001 at 03:41Comment
Spent the week working on USML. Nearly finished (I hope).

My Sony PCLK-MN10 (connects my pc to my hi-fi) arrived today - rediculously expensive, but very cool. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon also arrived on DVD, but haven't watched it yet. The end of season Roswell High was good; sorry if you hate it, but I watched most of the first and second series because it was on before/after something else I wanted to see, and now I'm kinda hooked.

Anyway... time for bed.

Hmm, forgot again...

Went to the doctor last week about my ingrowing toenail. He told me to tape the skin back... none of the tape is sticking though. Never mind.

Ben just moved all the websites off their old server onto the new one (pinky)... sweet. Everything seems to be working nicely :)

Start the tonbschl holiday courses tomorrow. Eeek. Hope I have nice kids like last year :)

Yay

Hi there. Last night I went to Bully's house with Sheps and Iain... had a tasty chickeny thing, then went to a pub, had a couple of pints and played the pub quiz - fun :)

I think I've finally finished the USML base... have a play here. Perl and SQL based user account system... session logins, web front end for account config, account management, user permissions and news... took a while, but I think it's done. And it's pretty good, even if I say so myself.

Pub again!

Yep. Went to the pub again... both Friday and Saturday. Good fun.

I've got bored of trying to decide what to buy computer-wise, and trying to decide whether or not to wait for new stuff to come out. So I'm just going to buy what I've got on my shopping list, and upgrade when new stuff computer out.

Incey Wincey Spider...

Earlier I heard a scream come from my mum's room... went in and found her pointing at a huge spider.

Anyway, came back in here, loaded some pretty yellow plastic spheres and 4 AA batteries into my mini MP5...

How something so small can take 4 direct hits and still manage to crawl I don't know.

Gone in 60 Seconds

Just watched Gone in 60 Seconds - it's a good film :))

My order from Scan arrived today; computer broke down at my dad's office, got a replacement PSU and fitted it, along with a zip drive in both of the really crap SSC celeron jobbies. They all love me down there now :p

My Ixus 300 digital camera arrived today, and it rocks... a tad expensive, but worth it :)

Packaging

Isn't packaging getting stupid?

My camera arrived in a huge box:

and today, my spare ixus batteries arrived:

All that jiffy bag for them two little boxes... never mind :)

Went down and met Chris at school today, played quake 2 with JIP, then went and had a pizza in Sevenoaks. We're going to Lakeside tomorrow... costco and cinema...

As you may have guessed, my digital camera will mean more news photos :) And WOO! This is the 200th news entry :)
